Eco-Adventure Reimagined: Blending Technology with Natural Heritage
Devon E-Bike Safaris was founded on a passion for uncovering the “hidden gems” of the South West—quiet villages, archaeological sites, and the raw beauty of Dartmoor. Qball Creative acted as the strategic brand partner and mentor, building a digital platform that positioned e-biking as the ultimate accessible adventure for families and thrill-seekers alike.
The Challenge
The client needed a digital presence that did more than just list bike tours; they needed to sell an experience. The core requirements were:
-
Visual Storytelling: Capturing the breathtaking landscapes of Bovey Tracey and Haytor to entice tourists.
-
Overcoming Barriers: Educating potential customers on how e-bikes make “excessive fitness levels” unnecessary for exploring rugged terrain.
-
Trust & Safety: Clearly communicating COVID-secure protocols and safety equipment inclusions during a pivotal time for outdoor tourism.
Our Solution
We created a vibrant, clean, and user-focused website that mirrored the “easy-going” yet “adventurous” nature of the safaris.
1. Experience-Driven Navigation
-
Dual Safari Paths: We categorised the offerings into the “Easy Going 3-Hour Safari” for families and the “Adventurous 3-Hour Safari” for explorers, allowing users to self-segment immediately.
-
Integrated Testimonials: Featured glowing reviews directly on the homepage to highlight the personal, knowledgeable touch of guide Clive—building immediate rapport and trust.
2. Conversion-Focused Tools
-
Dynamic Booking Links: Strategically placed “Book Your Seat Now” buttons provided a direct path to reservation, reducing friction in the customer journey.
-
Gift Voucher System: We implemented a digital voucher feature, allowing the brand to generate revenue year-round and cater to the local gift market.
3. Immersive Branding
-
Nature-Centric Design: A colour palette and layout that reflected Devon’s natural beauty, featuring a Safari Gallery that showcased Dartmoor ponies, highland cattle, and historic architecture.
-
Mobile-First Accessibility: Given that many bookings come from tourists already on the move in Devon, the site was optimized for seamless mobile browsing.
The Project Legacy
This build successfully launched Devon E-Bike Safaris into the local tourism market, establishing them as a premier outdoor activity provider.
